Americans skip Labor Day trips as costs rise


Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is commonly seen as the last chance to get away while the weather is still hot. But that won't be happening for many this year because of gas prices and other high costs associated with traveling.After missing out on summer vacations because of high fuel prices and a weakening economy, many Americans won't be going anywhere over the Labor Day weekend either.
